We're Almost On Our Way!

To Rochester, NY and Middlebury, VT. Owen doesn't really know it yet, but he will be excited about going. I've decided not to tell him until the morning we leave. Two days ago Owen, Ana and I were out running errands and checking out the new grocery store in town. Owen didn't want to go in and instead said he wanted to go see his grandparents and cousins. He went on and on about it for about 2 hours! I could not get him to change the subject and pacifying him with "We will, Honey... soon. I promise you we'll be going soon!" didn't work. He wanted to go "NOW!"

We're not leaving until Tuesday morning and not before Chris and I celebrate 8 years married and a family day at the Fair at the PNE which means lots of fun on rides, playing games, petting animals, watching parades, acrobats and more. We're doing that tomorrow, and I hope it doesn't rain!

To those of you that check out this blog... some of you I'll be seeing, and meeting for the first time. I cannot wait. I will miss Chris a lot and the kids will miss their Daddy, so like we are looking forward to visiting all of you, we are just as much looking forward to seeing Daddy again.

Hello!

Welcome to our blog. This was started as a means to keep our friends and family in touch and up to date with our lives while we lived in lovely Vancouver, BC from 2006 - 2011, and in Boston, MA from 2011 - 2013. I took a break from blogging for a long while but since Boston, we did a 6 month stint in beautiful Denver, CO and then ultimately ended up in San Francisco, CA in Feburary of 2014 where we currently reside. Chris' job has taken us across the continent 3 times, sometimes far, sometimes near but mostly far.

We would much rather be up close and personal in person but since distance is between us and those we hold close and love, this is a pretty good way of closing that gap a bit. Not only that, but this has turned into a diary of some sorts featuring my son, Owen and daughter, Ana. It is a way of preserving those moments that have made us laugh, cry and grow, something I hope to present to them when they're older and curious about how they were as children.

With the kids older and Chris and I feeling nostalgic, Chris not-so-subtly hinted that he missed the posts that I used to put on here. So did I. I wasn't sure I could remember my log-in password in order to resume where I last left off but hey... Something must've worked because here I am! Again. Hi. How have you been? It's been way too long, right? Yea... I know but that's life. It passes you by fast and the jump from my last post from August 2012 to 2016 is evidence of that.
