Our First Day Home

It was hard to leave our families back East. I don't enjoy the distance between us, but I do enjoy being home. There's something to be said about sleeping in your own bed. We finally got home at around 3 a.m. our time on Friday morning. It was a long flight home, but it went well. All of our luggage made it back with the exception of the stroller which took the airport 6 days to locate and return to us. Within a half hour of getting home, we all went to bed only to wake up a few hours later. We would've slept in if we didn't have to pick up our dog, Zoey at the kennel. I was worried about leaving Zoey for so long, but she did well and she remembered us! She was so happy to see us and to be home. She's a changed dog though, but not in a bad way. I don't know what happened to her during those three weeks, but she seems more laid back and relaxed. Before our vacation she wouldn't jump on the couch unless she was invited to. Now, it seems that she's comfortable to make herself comfortable anywhere, even the couch, with or without our consent. She even plops herself on our laps now which before, was a very rare occurrence.

That day we put Ana in the exersaucer and she LOVED it! She tried one out for the first time at Uncle Dan & Aunt Marybeth's house and seemed to like it so when we got home, we took ours out of storage.
Our first day home was a long one. And... we were exhausted! As you can see, Owen didn't make it through dinner! Halfway through eating his beef & cheese taco (sans the taco, tomatoes, lettuce and whatever other garnish goes on a taco), he just decided he couldn't go on. Poor kid.
