Happy Birthday Daddy! (Owen REALLY wanted a cupcake!!)
Cupcake - at last!
The beginnings of a sugar rush
Yesterday was Chris' birthday. We started the day with Owen giving his daddy a few presents. Then for dinner we drove out to Kitsilano for some very good sushi. On the way home, driving along Hastings Street gave us the opportunity for a great view of the lunar eclipse in action... right in front of us. Clouds sometimes obscured the action but for the most part we were able to see it's progress. It was pretty neat to see. We ended the day with cupcakes. The sugar content of those things were so high that Owen, who first ate the frosting, then the cake, didn't go to bed until sometime after 11 p.m. Even after that, he didn't sleep well and woke up several times and ended up in our bed. He was wide awake at 5:30 this morning. The cupcakes were good... but I'm not giving those to him ever again. At least not so close to bedtime.

i know you had a special day with your family. i love the pictures. is that the same park i brought owen last august?

sweet ana, how was that ride? isn't swinging fun? next time i visit you all - it will be my turn to push you on the swing. i can't wait to play with you and your big brother owen.
there is nothing like family!!!
what could be nicer than having three beautiful children, a daughter-in-law i absolutely love and two amazing grandchild. it just warms my heart everyday.
