On Thursday our neighbor, Joanne, invited us to go along with her to Ambleside. It's a little town up in West Vancouver and oh-so-lovely! The weather was perfect... nice but slightly cooler along the ocean and a breeze. In particular, she took us to a park with a playground that was nicely contained so it was easy to watch Owen as he enjoyed the various play structures. They also had a wading pool but Owen didn't make use of that. Joanne packed a little picnic lunch and while we ate that, Ana ate sand. The views were stunning. We were able to see Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge from a different perspective. There were sailboats and all kinds of boats going by. The coastline was rocky and the tide was low, so Owen and I enjoyed a little walk just to throw a few rocks and stones in the water. Then Joanne took us on a walking path along the coast towards Dundarave. The breeze, the scent of the sea, and the motion of the stroller lulled both Owen and Ana to sleep. Isn't Ambleside lovely. I visited there often when we lived in North Vancouver.
What a deliciously perfect summer day. The children are more and more beautiful every post....how is that even possible?!?
